Sleepytime Peach from Celestial Seasonings

March 17, 2021 by Emily Dill Leave a Comment

Funny story (or not?): as a baby I was allergic to peach fuzz and couldn’t have anything peach. Eventually I outgrew the allergy (obvs) and now I love any and all peach- flavored things (ice cream, candy, drinks, etc.).

This tea is my current favorite herbal tea – I go pretty hard with matcha and caffeinated tea all day (the thug life chose me), so I try to go herbal before bedtime to wind down a little. This herbal tea has all the good stuff: lemongrass, spearmint, chamomile, rosebuds, plus some blackberry leaves and orange blossoms just to show off.

I’ve never had a bad fruit-flavored herbal tea from Celestial Seasonings, and the streak lives on. I don’t wanna say this tea is just peachy….but yeah, I kind of do.

Raspberry Zinger by Celestial Seasonings: How Raspberry Tea Should Taste!

October 11, 2012 by Emily 3 Comments

Peach Raspberry TeaIf you pride yourself on being a tea connoisseur (*raises hand*), then you probably have noticed something about raspberry tea: it’s either bizarre and artificial-tasting, or it’s blissful and awesome-tasting. It’s one of my personal obsessions, so it’s safe to say I’ve tried every raspberry tea known to tea lovers.

While raspberry tea can, at times, be hit or miss, Raspberry Zinger from Celestial Seasonings is a HIT (all caps).  Like bases-loaded, let’s-score-the-winning-run sort of hit.

My favorite thing about this tea is the tartness you can detect: nothing sugary, but a taste slightly sour, like it should be with a raspberry tea.

It tastes exactly how raspberry tea fanatics (*raises hand again*) want their tea to taste – sublime.

Raspberry Zinger is delicious both iced and hot, which surprises me because normally raspberry tea is something I only want on ice. This particular raspberry tea is out of this world either way.

The listed ingredients for the tea are hibiscus, rosehips, roasted chicory, orange peel, blackberry leaves, natural raspberry flavor with other natural flavors (contains soy lecithin), raspberries and raspberry leaves.  Just brew your bag in about 8 ounces of boiling (or near-boiling, in my case) water for around 5 minutes (4 to 6, the company says), and enjoy!

The Celestial Seasonings Raspberry Zinger may be in the “new look” box you see pictured here or may show up in your store in its old school “raspberry-colored” box.

In addition to having one of the best Raspberry teas I’ve tried, Celestial Seasonings also has a Fruit Tea Variety Pack (raspberry, peach, wild berry, blueberry, and black cherry) I’m obsessed with – as in I never allow myself to even come close to running out. Each of the flavors is more delicious than words could describe.

One of my favorite teas in the world is pictured above. I make up a Raspberry Peach tea by brewing an equal number of peach and raspberry tea bags. When ready, I pour the tea over ice and add a couple of partially thawed peach slices. HEAVEN.
