birthday gift

This isn’t your grandmother’s cup of tea.

October 10, 2011 by Emily Leave a Comment

Over the weekend I kind of went crazy…I had a birthday and a one-year wedding anniversary. I know, I was showing off. Well, me being me, I racked up on some serious tea swag. I’ll be doing posts/reviews about all of my goodies, but I was really excited to show you the picture above – one of the gifts in my birthday tea-bag (get it? hardee har har) from my youngest sister. I believe she got this at TJ Maxx, an amazing resource for coffee and tea-related decor, gift sets, dishes, etc.

On the left in the photo above is your standard-sized coffee/tea mug…and on the right is what I like to refer to as the beast. I’m not sure exactly how many ounces it holds, but I do know that I double my serving size when using it (twice as many leaves when infusing, two tea bags when steeping).

Anyway, I love it…it’s solid, it’s heavy, it’s efficient, and it’s so purdy. Thanks, Steph! 🙂
