Sweet Leaf Bottled Teas: This Can Only Be Described as an Addiction… And, No, I Don’t Want an Intervention

Sweet Leaf Bottled Tea

Fellow tea lovers, if you ever see the bottles above (or any other flavors for that matter), buy them whatever the price. Questions unasked.  Sweet Leaf bottled teas have become an obsession of mine. In fact, the other day my husband and I were on a bit of a road trip.  I decided I needed some tea to hold me over and my mind was SET on Sweet Leaf Mint & Honey Green Tea (on the left above).  I had the poor man pulling into every convenience store and gas station in the state looking for what I affectionately call my “granny tea” (in honor of the sweetheart on the label).

You see, these amazingly delicious and unspeakably refreshing teas can’t be found just anywhere.  Not yet, anyway.  Maybe it adds to their mystique, you know? At any rate, I’d rather they be everywhere I am or will possibly be.

Ironically enough, just yesterday my youngest daughter were in our favorite Kroger here in Owensboro.  Even though the last time I’d checked, this store didn’t carry Sweet Leaf, I decided to check anyway… just in case.  When we turned the corner and entered the Health Food Section (where they also keep a lot of premium teas and coffees), I spied the bottles I’d been looking for and all but screamed, “Granny Tea!!”

No doubt my daughter was relieved there weren’t many people around.

We grabbed quite a few of each variety and gently placed them in the cart.  I would have bought 20 Mint & Honey Green Teas, but they only had 3. So 3 is what I bought.

I’d have never guessed that Mint & Honey would have been as  delicious in green tea as they are, but now I can’t imagine my tea obsessed life without them.  Trust me, this is one fascinatingly delicious drink.

The Lemon & Lime Unsweet tea is another winner.  Each Sweet Leaf tea is simply too good to be believed.  They’re fresh, delicious, wholesome, and quite frankly addictive.  Each even carries a Grannyism inside the bottle top! Now tell me that isn’t adorable.

Be sure to look for them the next time you’re at the store. Granny will rock your world but good.

In the meantime, check out Sweet Leaf’s Website – it’s (as my own granny would have said) a “Hoot and a Holler.”
