Logan’s Roadhouse Raspberry Tea

We may earn a small percentage of money from some products mentioned on this blog if you click through and make a purchase. This costs you nothing extra but allows us to support this website, our tea obsession, and our very high-maintenance cats.

Logan's Roadhouse Raspberry TeaWhen dining out, I’m always as anxious to try the restaurant’s tea as I am the food.  Well, unless the food involves catfish or onion rings. Those are the deal breakers for this tea fanatic.

I get a special thrill when I see that the restaurant has several varieties and/or flavors of tea.  On a recent trip to Logan’s Roadhouse in Owensboro, Kentucky, I was delighted to see Raspberry and Peach tea both on the menu.  The only problem is this presents me with a major decision to make.  I went with Raspberry tea this time because I thought it’d compliment the catfish I KNEW I’d be ordering.  I don’t drink anything stronger than coffee, so matching my tea to my meal is about as highbrow as I get.  Sometimes I even adopt the mannerisms of people who are deciding which wine to have with their meal.  *Assumes snooty voice and high-society disposition*  Why, yes, I do believe a raspberry tea is called for with this meal and for this occasion.

Okay, role-playing over.

Being the first class tea fanatic I am, I’m not terribly picky when it comes to flavored tea.  If it’s heavily flavored, I’m great. If it’s lightly flavored, I’m great – after all, it’s still tea, right?

Logan’s Raspberry tea leans HEAVILY on the lightly flavored side.  How heavily?  I had to taste my husband’s tea to make sure I got the raspberry tea!  I’m not complaining, because it was delicious and, as we just determined, it was still tea.  However, if you love for your raspberry tea to cop a raspberry attitude, you’d be better off ordering raspberry tea at Cracker Barrel.

True story: When my husband and I came home from Logan’s, I made a tall glass of raspberry iced tea (courtesy of Celestial Seasonings Cool Brew Raspberry tea bags).  I wanted to make sure I hadn’t lost my valuable Raspberry tea taste buds or anything.  Fortunately, they were still very much accounted for – they’d just been napping. They’re cute like that.

If you don’t mind a whisper of flavor… or perhaps even less than a whisper (I think my raspberry tea had laryngitis), Logan’s Raspberry tea is the tea for you.  Their black iced tea is very, very good.  Really, you may as well stick with that.
