Thank you, Capt. Picard. Seriously though, who doesn’t love a warm cup of Earl Grey in their cold hands…that strong lively smell, that citrusy (almost peppery?) taste. Although I’m nuts for pretty much every kind of tea (chai tea being the one exception considering it tastes like a cat’s stomach acid, i presume), I’ll freely admit that I have two favorites: Earl Grey and straight-up green tea, with no honey or ginseng or anything else to make it taste like medicine.
I’ve already established that I love the frappuccinos made from green tea…let’s also discuss how amazing the latte made from Earl Grey, the London Fog, is. It’s actually pretty simple…the tea bags, steamed milk, and vanilla syrup is how it’s usually created. I’ve made various offshoots of this concoction myself. I don’t normally like to add ANYTHING to my tea; just like coffee, I think it’s at its most glorious completely straight with no extra frills or sweeteners. However, I’m going to tell you right now that addicted is not a strong enough word for how Earl Grey + steamed milk will leave you.
You’ve been warned.
