Emily, The Crazy Tea Chick – and personally known as my oldest daughter – and I see eye to eye on most of our tea preferences as well as our likes and dislikes when it comes to the drink of the gods. However, we do have some obvious differences of opinion:
- I’m obsessed with Panera Bread’s Green Tea, whereas Crazy Chick té believes it strays too far from the origins of green tea. I’ll admit it doesn’t have the same green tea taste as a freshly brewed pot of green tea, however, when the product tastes as delicious as Panera’s green tea, I’m willing to stray right along with it.
- Emily would never dream of putting honey, Truvia, cream, or sweetener in her hot green tea whereas I love nothing more in my hot green tea than honey and a floating slice of lemon or orange.
- I’m ALL ABOUT Chai tea lattes and she hasn’t much use for them. Where, oh where, did I go wrong with this girl? If you’re a parent, you know how it is. You raise them the best you can – buy them the best books, feed them incredibly healthy meals, love them with all your heart… then they hit their 20’s and announce they don’t like Chai Tea Lattes.
I’ve always handled this disappointment with grace and tried to hold my head high. I dig deep and repeat the immortal affirmation, “MORE FOR ME!!!!”
I was doing something I frequently do a few days ago – hanging out in the tea aisle. I saw a few containers that I’d never noticed before: Pacific Chai Spice Chai Latte and Pacific Chai Vanilla Tea Latte. I decided to try the Spice Chai Latte mix first, telling the Vanilla Tea Latte mix that I’d be back for it.
I came directly home and made a wonderful hot cup of Spice Chai Tea Latte to enjoy while catching up on the news. You simply combine 2 TBS of the mix with some hot water – voila! – a delicious, flavorful Chai Tea Latte in your very own kitchen. It was very, very good and I’ve enjoyed many Chai Tea Lattes. You can taste (and smell!) the beautiful flavors in the mix: ginger, anise, cinnamon, and cloves. Check the tea aisle of your favorite store and give Pacific Chai Spice Chai Latte (or Vanilla Tea Latte) a try. You’ll be very impressed.
A cup of Pacific Chai Spice Chai Latte in the newest mug in my collection – a beautiful mug Emily and her husband brought me back from their vacation on Pensacola Beach. This is a reminder of the best reason to give coffee mugs and/or tea cups to people as gifts… they’ll think of you every single time they use it. Without fail.
