Why yes, yes I do.
I haven’t officially been asked that question yet, but I’m guessing that it’s just a matter of time, juding from the laughter (and pity? fear?) that I see on some people’s faces while discussing my tea-crazy habits. I thought I’d be straight with you and do a little explaining (bragging is an ugly word) about how much tea I really do consume in a normal day.
So out in the real world, I work two jobs in our county school system; they both supply me with free iced (unsweet!) tea all day long. Perks! Between jobs, when I have time, I grab a large iced tea from the closest restaurant. After work(s) I usually head over to eat dinner with my parents, where my mom always (always!) has a pot of hot green tea freshly made. So I drink my weight in that. And any other tea she may have prepared. When I leave there and get back to my apartment, I drink some of my own unsweet tea that’s always made up. And to end the evening, I boil enough hot water for at least two more cups of hot tea – sometimes I make both cups green tea (my favorite!), but on nights like tonight – my jazzy nights – I mix it up; for example, right now I’m enjoying one cup of Zen green tea and one cup of Papaya and Passion Fruit green tea.
Add all of this to my 3-4 cups of coffee a day (more like 6 on weekends), and WHO’S happily jacked up on caffeine 24/7? This guy! It’s all good though…I have enough antioxidants flowing through my body to raise the dead.
